Sayma Alam, MS

Ph.D. Student
Sayma is a first-year Ph.D. student in Human Nutrition. She is from Bangladesh. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition and food science from the University of Dhaka in 2021 and 2023, respectively. She joined the lab on August, 2023 and will be working in the Human Nutrition discipline for her Ph.D.




Lauren Binkley

Lauren is from Huntsville, Alabama. She is a sophomore studying biology. After earning her undergraduate degree, Lauren plans to attend dental school.

Nolan McKibben

Undergraduate research assistant - Randall Research Scholar Program
Nolan is from Bucyrus, Ohio. He is majoring in chemistry with a minor in the Randall Research Scholars Program and Interdisciplinary Studies in Medicine. After getting his undergraduate degree and an MBA, Nolan plans to continue his education in medical school.

Haley McAtee

Haley is a sophomore from Kansas City, Missouri. She is majoring in Philosophy with a concentration in Medical Ethics, along with a minor in Spanish and the Randall Research Program. After completing her undergraduate degree, she hopes to continue on to medical school.
 

Zhi Zheng

Zhi is a graduate student in Human Nutrition from China. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition at the University of Alabama in 2024. She is currently a master's student in the same field and plans to continue her education in Food and Nutrition after completing her master's program.
